Table 2: Building the Right Infrastructure for Field Service and Aftermarket in the Age of AI
AI is now expected to predict failures, resolve issues remotely, and get the right part to the right job. Most of that depends on infrastructure that was not built for it: data spread across systems, catalogues that cannot identify parts reliably, pricing that varies by channel, no single view of what is available where, and ordering processes designed for a different era. There is no shortage of advice about AI in service. The harder question is where to start. An open discussion between service and aftermarket leaders: what is blocking progress, how others are tackling it, and where to invest first.
