Co-Founder & CEO Highsail

Jonas Maeyens is Co-Founder and CEO of Highsail, an AI company focused on bringing AI into field operations. Before founding Highsail, Jonas worked across enterprise software, ERP, operational transformation and AI, giving him first-hand exposure to the systems and processes behind large field service organisations. He founded Highsail around a simple observation: some of the most valuable operational knowledge is created in the field, yet technicians are often the last employees to benefit from modern AI. Today, Highsail works with organisations including Equans, BP and Aquafin to deploy AI directly into technician workflows and existing enterprise systems.

12:00 AI Advisory Lab: Proof of Concept Presentations

 (10 min each)

Join this session to learn two tried and tested proof of concepts for AI that service leaders are executing with solution partners. You'll have an opportunity to select which service leaders and their solutions providers that you would like to meet with for a hands-on session to close out your learnings on day 3.

Case Study 3: AI at the Technician's Side: from Voice to Action across the service workflow presented by HighSail
Field technicians rarely work with a lack of information. More often, the challenge is that the information they need - work orders, asset history, previous interventions, technical documentation and operational knowledge - is spread across different systems and difficult to access at the moment it matters.

Together, Equans and Highsail are successfully exploring what happens when AI becomes an intelligent layer across that existing environment.

The business case focuses on supporting technicians throughout the intervention: automatically bringing together relevant context before and during the job, helping them interact with operational knowledge in the field, capturing new information naturally through voice and photos, and turning that information into actions across the systems already used by the organisation.

Rather than introducing another isolated tool, the objective is to understand how AI can connect the technician to the wider field service stack - reading from multiple sources, reasoning across operational context and helping update or trigger the right workflows afterwards.

In this session, Equans and Highsail will share how the proof of concept was scoped, what was learned from bringing AI into a complex enterprise field environment, and what needs to be true for AI to move from standalone assistant to a trusted part of daily field operations.
  • Bring context to the technician, not the other way around: how AI can combine work orders, asset history, previous interventions and technical knowledge into proactive context at the moment of work.
  • Move beyond search towards action: how an AI layer can not only retrieve information, but help capture findings, structure new information and initiate actions across existing field service systems.
  • Work across the existing stack: lessons from introducing AI into an environment spanning multiple operational tools without replacing the systems already running the business.
  • Design around the technician: why adoption depends on reducing interactions with systems rather than adding another application technicians need to manage.
  • Build the loop between field and back office: how better context going into an intervention and better structured information coming out can create a continuously improving operational knowledge base.
