Toshiba – the laptop people, right? Well,
partly – but that’s not why we’re here at FSE. We’ve used our 30+ years of
expertise in computer engineering and miniaturisation to create a solution for
frontline workers in maintenance roles - the Toshiba dynaEdge DE-100 and AR100
smart glass wearable. That’s what we’re specifically showing at FSE - the first
Windows based ‘Assisted Reality’ system. While there are plenty of
Android-based smart glasses systems on the market, the Windows Pro based
dynaEdge solution is ready to slot into your CMMS and ready to scale
beyond the limited Proof of Concept status where many projects stop.
The dynaEdge solution is based on a small, durable belt-worn PC device, with a
lightweight head-mounted Viewer. This Viewer’s unobtrusive screen means the
wearer can receive documents, schematics or workflow instructions hands-free;
while the forward facing camera, microphone and speakers allows them to
communicate live with a ‘remote expert’ back at base.
There are many applications. Create workflows with verified steps for Routine
Maintenance; cut downtime on Unplanned Maintenance tasks; create Point Of View
training videos; remotely monitor new recruits’ work; instantly expand the
portfolio of your workers’ supported products.
Actions speak louder than words, so come and
see dynaEdge in action on our booth - we’d love to inspire you!
