Grant Walker

Grant has over 30 years experience across a variety of industries and specialisms. His primary degree is in Chemical and Process Engineering. After graduating he joined ICI in July 1986. 

In 2001 Grant joined VATech with responsibility for I.T. and business improvement for the transmission and distribution business in a newly created joint venture with Schneider. Following acquisition of the business in 2005, by Siemens, he was appointed Director of Business Excellence for the integrated T&D business in the UK. In 2008 Grant was appointed Business Strategy and Excellence Director for Siemens Energy - North West Europe and United Kingdom to develop and implement a business transformation program for the cluster organization. In 2012 he was appointed Managing Director for Onshore Wind, UK and Ireland, where he oversaw growth of the business delivery processes to support 10 times increase in project workload and to develop order backlog by 20 times to exceed market growth.

In September 2015 he moved in to Wind Power service with P&L responsibility for delivery of service for onshore and offshore wind turbines across the UK and Ireland. In 2018 this region was merged with Northern and Central Europe and the Middle East. He has responsibility for service delivery for over 18GW of onshore and offshore wind turbines across 24 countries and over 2000 employees.

He is married with 2 grown up children and lives in the North Riding of Yorkshire in the U.K.

Martin Zamba joined Dell Technologies in 2003, where he held multiple roles in Technical Support, Project Management and Field Services. Martin currently serves as Director of Dell EMC's Field Services business in EMEA. He leads an EMEA team of 27 team members and 140+ partners with 4000+ engineers who support customers in more than 60 countries. His teams provide Break&Fix services including Onsite support and Carry-in service.

Between 2008-2011, Martin held an Operations Director role in Slovanet (Telecom Operator in Slovakia), responsible for the network design, strategy & operations, project management, IT operations. Technical Support, Logistics and Procurement.

Martin holds a Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia and is Prince2 Practitioner certified.

Martin lives in Bratislava, Slovakia with his wife Silvia and 2 sons. He is a passionate sailor.

Phil Wolfenden, Vice President of Cisco’s $2 billion Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia (EMEAR) Technical Services Organisation, leads a 700-strong team of Engineers, Technical Leaders and Business Development professionals across 120 countries.

Phil specialises in delivering services that help customers and partners ensure business continuity, mitigate risk, and maintain compliance. He is also responsible for providing technical services that help Cisco customers to adopt new technologies, deliver new capabilities quickly and effectively; and transition to software and cloud.

Previously at Cisco, as Senior Director of Advanced Services (AS) in Emerging Markets, Phil built a $400M professional services business across the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Growing the AS business by more than 70% each year, and establishing Technical Centres-of-Excellence in 22 countries.

With almost 30 years of IT and Networking industry experience, Phil’s career spans executive and management positions. Phil joined the Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) in Brussels, Belgium in 1997. He is a graduate of Newcastle University in the UK, is a Chartered Engineer and a Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE).

He is a principal advocate for Inclusion and Diversity in the workplace and is the Executive sponsor for the Disability Action Network, Hidden Disabilities and Cisco Cancer Network. Phil also sits on numerous industry bodies, advisory boards and holds the position of Cisco Executive Sponsor at British Paralympic Association in London and two international financial institutions.

Phil has lived in a number of countries across the globe but currently resides in the UK with his wife, two children and eight horses.

Based in the UK, leading a team of 200+ diverse and talented engineers across the region, responsible for providing support for Cisco's most complex technologies and emergent service offerings, as well as acquisition integration within the services function.

Innovation lead for EMEAR - funding, incubating and developing disruptive new concepts relating to customer experience and support quality. Executive lead for Inclusion and Diversity engaged at an industry level with a number of influential forums, including participating in the judging panel for the Black British Business Awards, and co-sponsor and keynote speaker at the European Women in Technology conference.Recent speaking engagements also include TSIA Europe and the Field Services Europe conferences, discussing the role of analytics, automation and cognitive systems in service delivery.

He holds a master degree in mechanical engineering for the EPFL / Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne, and he worked in the chemical industry and consulting, before joining Caterpillar 19 year ago.

Alexandre MARROT was born in Germany. He started his career in France as customer service engineer in 1998 in the parking industry. In 2001, he was appointed head of customer service for Schlumberger, located in Madrid, where he was in charge of field service operations (parking industry) for Spain and Portugal.

In 2005, he took in charge the deployment and maintenance activity for parking enhanced solutions as program manager in Rome. In 2007, as site manager in Copenhagen, he had the opportunity to manage the deployment of a ticketing system in Denmark for Thales.

And, since June 2008, he has been managing the customer service and maintenance activities for Xerox Business Solutions (now CONDUENT). He leads several field service teams in France, Italy, and Spain, in charge of maintenance for important customers in the transportation business.

Counter-Terrorist Bomb Disposal Specialist
British Army (Retired)

Major Chris Hunter QGM had “the world’s most dangerous job, in the world’s most dangerous place”. As as counter-terrorist bomb disposal specialist in Iraq, he took his life in his hands on a daily basis.

He was so effective at defusing the deadly devices that terrorists put a price on his head. Chris was also a sitting target for snipers.

Chris joined the British Army at sixteen, and trained as a Russian linguist and intelligence operator. Shortly afterwards, he was commissioned from Sandhurst and re-trained as a bomb disposal operator, after which he served with a number of special forces units. During his career he was deployed to the Balkans, Northern Ireland, Colombia, Afghanistan and Iraq. For his actions during his Iraq tour, he was awarded the Queen’s Gallantry Medal.

Chris finished his military career as a senior intelligence analyst at the MoD. At the time of the London suicide bombings, he was seconded to COBRA. Since retiring from the army, Chris has worked as a counter-terrorism consultant, writer and TV presenter. He is a regular contributor to television, radio and current affairs programmes.

He also spent 7 years in Singapore where he headed and develop in Asia the Institute of Sales and Marketing for STUniversity, before coming back to Europe.

Happily married, father of two, he lives in Cernusco Sul Naviglio (Italy). On the week ends, he loves strolling with his family along the peaceful banks of the Martesana canal that connect Milan to the beautiful region of Brianza.

Marc has over 25 years of hands-on and leadership experience across a variety of industries, including healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing and Distribution, and Financial Services. He has extensive experience designing and building Enterprise class Software Products and Solutions.  Marc was the Co-Founder of ComFrame Software Corporation (which was sold to NWN Corporation) in 1997 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President until 2010.  From 2010 until joining Influence Health Marc served as Vice-President of Application Development Services practice at NWN.

Prior to Co-Founding ComFrame, Marc served with AT&T Bell Laboratories and designed and implemented an object model to manage and optimize AT&T's switched access network. He also was involved in designing a framework to collect and store data from multiple vendors' telecommunications switches in a common format.

Marc is actively involved in the technology community having served as a Member of the Executive Committee of TechBirmingham. He is previous Board Member of Nashville Technology Council and serves on the Birmingham Business Alliance Board of Trustees.  Marc is involved with training and mentoring at client locations as well as presenting technical topics at local Java users group meetings. He has a proven reputation for delivering quality software and providing excellent leadership.

David Leslie has 40 years of experience in the technology markets, beginning in the earliest days of the Silicon Valley at Tandem Computers.  Having founded three successful technology startups since 2001, David joined Gadget Software as Chief Commercial Officer to lead the introduction of Gadget’s ‘Smart Manuals on Smart Devices’ to the world’s Field Service organizations.  His first “C-Level” role leading the world’s largest service organization supporting Local Area Networks gave him first hand experience in delivering on tough SLA requirements in mission critical applications.  UB Networks supported the core data network operations of more than 400 of the Global 1000 companies in the 1990s, including Michelin, DuPont, and the NYSE.  Since that time, David has been committed to solutions which integrate customer service seamlessly with the total customer relationship, from prospecting to post-deployment.  In between startups, David has served several non-profit organizations, either as a Board member, Chairperson, or CEO.  He was educated in Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.
